Counseling is a Partnership

Counseling sessions are usually 50 minutes once a week or as the client's schedule permits. Counseling is an individualized process and can vary in frequency and duration. Counseling lasts as long as necessary to achieve your treatment goals.

getting started

When an appointment is made, you will be asked to provide some background information about yourself. We will meet at my office which provides a private, safe, comfortable space for us to talk. At your first session, we will talk about where you are currently at and what your goals for counseling might be.

In our sessions, you will be heard and your feelings validated.You will be able to express yourself without judgement. We will focus on your needs, emotional state, and feelings. We will explore your past to develop a solid foundation for the future while also learning to live healthily in the present.

I use a variety of therapeutic approaches that may include strength based theory, motivational interviewing, solution focused brief therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness,  and/or person centered therapy.
